I enjoyed the Web Design assignment very much. Any assignment where I get to showcase my creativity no longer feels like homework. I learned how to create a usable website with links, lists, calendars, and visuals. I can use my new design skills to create a website for students and parents to use when I work in a school setting later on in life. Here is a link to my website!
To be completely honest, Diigo was a confusing site to me at first. I definitely had to utilize the tutorial videos to successfully use this website. However, I can see why it is beneficial. Though the design is. in my opinion, plain and outdated, I think the two most useful tools are groups and being able to annotate other sites and files. Diigo makes it easy to add your own notes to websites or articles without having to download them and use a separate application. It also is super convenient to be able to share work like links or articles with groups. As a teacher, this would be useful to see what other teachers are doing so you can bounce ideas off of them.
There are many ways teachers can stay on top of education trends. One site that I think could be beneficial to teachers is TikTok. Although this is a social media site, I think this is one of the best ways to stay on top of technology trends, or any trend in general. Teachers are constantly posting videos from their classrooms about what they are teaching and how they are teaching it. There are even specific accounts dedicated to giving tips and tricks to teachers all over the country.
I absolutely loved your fourth-grade classroom web page design! It has such a clean and professional look that's perfect for its purpose. The overall design seems well-balanced, and the application of design principles like alignment and consistency is commendable. The choice of a clean and professional aesthetic creates a positive and inviting atmosphere, and it was user-friendly. Great job on achieving a polished and appealing design!

I really enjoyed looking through all of your photographs. The colors of the photographs complement and flow well together. You also did an excellent job of keeping the text on the different tabs to a minimum so that viewers were not overwhelmed. Great work!
ReplyDeleteI loved the color choice within your website, I thought it looked clean but was also eye catching. I thought the photos throughout the website were fun for the students and would definitely make them more interested when scrolling through your page. It was very easy to navigate and all the text was strategically placed. Amazing website!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adored your website! I love the deign, the only thing I can point out to you is that your schedule is misaligned. But I loved the pictures and the varying font sizes and thickness. Made your site easy to navigate and easy on the eyes.
